We Invest in Our People
Transparency, Communication, and Recognition
Open and honest communication is a cornerstone of our culture as an EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) company. We believe in sharing information clearly and consistently, so our team understands our goals, progress, and direction as a company. We actively encourage employee input and back it up with financial rewards, recognizing individuals who identify process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
Recognition is deeply rooted in who we are. We celebrate achievements across all areas of our work—including safety, quality, teamwork, leadership, innovation, and growth. Recognizing our people reinforces the meaningful impact they have on our success and strengthens a culture of pride and appreciation.
Committed to Our Community
Our History: Built on Craftsmanship and Growth
Ultra Tool & Manufacturing was founded in 1969 when Lloyd Hansen purchased a tool and die shop in Menomonee Falls, drawn by the region’s skilled craftsmen and strong manufacturing heritage. From the start, Ultra was built on pride in workmanship, ownership, and a willingness to embrace new ideas.
Guided by the belief that growth is essential, the company expanded into metal stamping early on and adopted emerging technologies such as Wire EDM, CNC milling, and laser machining. This commitment to innovation helped establish Ultra’s reputation for precision, reliability, and excellence, expanding our customer base worldwide.
In 1988, leadership transitioned to Lloyd’s son, Terry Hansen, who brought hands-on experience gained throughout the organization – from the toolroom to manufacturing leadership. Under his direction, Ultra continued investing in technology, quality systems, and process improvements, earning industry recognition and supplier awards along the way.
Continued growth led to the opening of a new manufacturing facility in 2015, expanding stamping capabilities, enhancing quality through advanced inspection and sensor technology, and improving responsiveness through a cloud-based ERP system.
Today, Ultra Tool & Manufacturing remains a family-oriented company with more than 50 years of experience.
