In 1969 Ultra Tool & Manufacturing was founded by Lloyd Hansen with the idea of creating high quality tooling with premier equipment. His strong commitment to the newest technology helped develop Ultra as a leader in Wisconsin’s metal stamping industry. Ultra began to form key working relationships with in-state companies such as Harley-Davidson and Briggs & Stratton.
Then in 1988 Lloyd’s son, Terry Hansen, became the owner after previously spending eight years in various manufacturing and leadership roles within the organization. The family commitment to technology continued with the addition of fiber optic laser machining to the plant floor. Throughout Ultra’s growth Terry has maintained a strong focus on employees and created the Training Center for Advanced Learning. A new facility in 2015 and a plan to continually add improved equipment fostered a renewed emphasis on customers and the introduction of Forming Relationships that Work. As a supplier this creates open communication to better understand design and production details for every part that is manufactured with our equipment.
